You will need:

1. A blender
2. a chopping board
3. A sharp knife
4. A pan or pot
5.A stirrer
6. Bowls
7. Water( hot water for extracting the milk)
8. Sieve

Direction

1. Break open the coconut with a blunt object or smash against a hard surface.

2. Using a knife, pry out the meat of the coconut from the hard shell.

3.Wash the meat thoroughly and cut into thin piece.

4. Put chopped coconut meat into blender, add some warm water. Do not crowd your blend, grind in batches for a smooth finish.

5. Pour the blended content to a bowl and wash with hot water (the water should be comfortable enough for you to handle).

6. Pour in a sieve  and separate the milk from the chaff. Sequence  the chaff against the sieve to remove remaining milk.

7. Continue 5 and 6 still the milk is completely extracted.

8. Set the milk in a bowl and allow to sit for 8-24 hours( i usually do over night). After 24 hours, you will see that the milk( the white solid on the top of the bowl) has separated from the water and settle on top of the bowl.

9. Carefully take caked milk from the bowl and place directly in a clean pan or pot. Simply discard the water or use to prepare coconut rice.

10. Cook on a low heat and stir from time to time.

11. Continue cooking until notice some charred bits in the oil( the charred bits should look brown in color).

12. Set aside to cool down.

13. Sieve using a clean chiffon or handkerchief to remove residues. Repeat the process if necessary.

14. Store in any container of your choice and that's it.
